Not getting background notifications

I have the android app on a Samsung S23

I have disabled adaptive battery, i have set all the permissions in the app, i have allowed the app over other apps, I have done the following from another thread:

You can try
Check Battery Optimization Settings:
Go to Settings > Apps > See all apps.
Find and select the app in question.
Tap Battery > Battery optimization.
Ensure that the app is not set to be optimized. Set it to “Not optimized” if necessary.
Check App Notifications Settings:
Go to Settings > Apps > See all apps.
Select the app for which notifications are not working.
Tap Notifications and ensure that notifications are enabled.
Verify Notification Channels:
Some apps use specific notification channels that can be individually managed.
Go to Settings > Apps > See all apps > select the app > Notifications.
Ensure that all relevant channels are enabled.

Still, i only get notifications if the app is open, and when i open it EACH time it looks like it is fresh logging in.

Even if i have the app open, new notifications dont hit the top of the list till i hit refresh button

Hello,

A new update (V3.6.1) has been released that fixes the issue with receiving messages on Android 14/15 devices.
Please test it and leave a brief feedback.

Thanks for the update! I just installed version V3.6.1 on my Samsung S23 (Android 14, One UI 6.1) and tested it. Notifications now seem to arrive properly in the background without needing to refresh the app. I’ll continue using it and report back if I notice any issues.
