Error message when opening Pushsafer URLs

Hi everyone,

I’m really impressed by Pushsafer and its rich feature set. In my application, users first set up their own configuration, then enable Pushsafer as the final step. The idea is simple:

• 1. The user installs the Pushsafer app.
  2. They configure their metrics
  2. They tap a link in my app to activate a guest login in Pushsafer.

Following the URL-scheme documentation (https://www.pushsafer.com/en/url_schemes), I generate links like:

or

pushsafer://guest:XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX|helmut-2.2-level-catalan

(XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX is, of course, the guest ID.)

On iOS both links fail:
Safari
Prompt: “Open in Pushsafer?” → “Open”
Error: “Safari cannot open the page because the address is invalid.”
Firefox
Error: “The application needed to open this link could not be found.”

Has anyone successfully used this feature on iOS and can point out what I’m missing - or confirm that it’s currently broken?

It seems that with the latest iOS update, colons (except the first one) are no longer allowed.

I will roll out an update as soon as possible to fix the problem. I will expand the colon separation in Guest:Key so that it works with : and/or +.

That's very reassuring to know that I'm not completely bonkers, but that it's due to the new iOS update!

Thanks for the answer. Is there an approximate timetable for the update?

I'll build everything else around it first and look forward to the function xworking again soon.
